Q. Is Ocean Plasma free of bacteria? Q. What is the shelf life of your products? A. Good question! Ocean Plasma® in 120ml and 1 L bottles has a shelf life of no less than five (5) years. It is suggested, nonetheless, to keep purchased Océan products in a refrigerator. When opened, it is recommended to refrigerate the product and to consume it within 3 months. Q. ...if we order by the case to save money, can we use the products for several months or years? Q. Is the Ocean Plasma® only taken orally or can it be taken in other ways? a) This is called a 'hypertonic solution' (undiluted) and is usually taken orally. This solution carries a contra-indication note: Use Ocean Plasam diluted with pure spring water 7 to 3 in cases of high blood pressure, kidney disorders or when on a salt-restricted diet. It is meant for short-term use. Regarding undiluted seawater, you must keep in mind that the laws of osmosis, diffusion and filtration are all at work here. In all cases, the osmotic forces attract water towards areas of stronger concentration and particles (nutrients etc.) towards the areas of lesser concentration. Therefore, a stronger solution is not necessarily a better one because it encourages a flow of water FROM the cells to the extra-cellular environment.
Q. Where can I learn more about the historical use of seawater, are there any case histories and who are the true seawater pioneers? A. There is only one site on the Internet that discloses a wealth of information about seawater, the illustrious seawater pioneers, their treatment protocols, many case histories, a bibliography and literally dozens and dozens of highly interesting pages. Look it up here: http://oceanplasma.org . Q. Most bottled water offers a detailed chemical analytical report; is one available for your products? A. Pure ocean water is labeled as 3.5% "saline" but, in the case of ocean water, that is not salt - it is SALTS - plural. "Saline" solution in hospital IV drips are sodium chloride dissolved in water but seawater contains many salts, including magnesium, potassium, calcium etc. As a matter of fact, it contains all the 92 elements in the Periodic Table. The composition of seawater is just about the same worldwide (see World Ocean Salinity picture in the web page shown below) and it has been analyzed to the best ability of science, many times over the past 150 years or so. A detailed chemical composition of seawater is shown here: http://oceanplasma.org / What is seawater / Chemistry of seawater. There you will find a table entitled: "Detailed composition of seawater at 3.5% salinity". It would literally cost tens on thousands of dollars to come up with an identical analysis and it would just be repeating what has been done many times before. What we do is an analysis of the finished product in terms of pathogens. Looking for historical and therapeutical Ocean Water information?
